We have funded building materials and supplies for repairs, extensions
and furniture to several of our schools: Ricketts St., Shrewsbury,
Glenlslay, Upper Top Lincoln and York Hill.
In partnership with Jamaica Visionaries Association (JVA), we sent
a trailer full of computers, books, toys and school supplies for
our schools, the Teachers' Resource Centre and the Westmoreland
Parish Library. The trailer was then converted into the new school
for Glenlslay.
Our biggest success to date has been collaborating with Food For
the Poor (Canada, U.S.A. and Jamaica) to build the new school for
Retreat, Farquharson ECI, which opened March 18, 2010.
In 2011 we helped "Bunch of Stars" ECI at Old Hope to
repair the bathrooms and build an extension kitchen, again through
partnering with Food For the Poor.
